A step counter sees an agent making progress — toward the wrong thing. An agent's own safety check is the first thing to lie when the agent is captured. In our seeded tests on live agent traffic, Kefal flagged a hijacked-but-still-productive agent that both of those missed completely, with no false alarms on healthy traffic.
Watching isn't enough. Turn the brake on and an agent that goes off-mission stops being allowed to act on its own — the action is held and a human is asked. Nothing is deleted, everything is recorded.
